He completed high school education at Istanbul Boys’ High School and graduated from Yeditepe University Faculty of Medicine in English as highest-performing student. He completed his residency in Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology, and received spine surgery training in world-renowned centers such as Cleveland Clinic, USA and Schön Clinic, Munich, Germany. Until the end of 2019, he worked at University of Health Sciences, Istanbul Training and Research Hospital. He was entitled to receive the spine surgery diploma of the European Society of Spine Surgery (EUROSPINE).
Assoc. Prof. Tuna PEHLİVANOĞLU has extensive experience in scoliosis surgery, all other spinal deformities, prosthetic surgery, arthroscopy surgery, trauma surgery, foot and ankle surgery.

Scoliosis
It is a congenital or acquired curvature of the spine. There are different approaches to treatment. While follow-up or corset is considered for curves up to 30 degrees, surgical treatment is applied in more advanced cases.

The spine allows us to move. There may be congenital anomalies of the spine, as well as problems in the spine as a result of aging and trauma.
Prosthesis
Joints such as knees, hips, shoulders, elbows may lose their function due to aging or trauma, causing pain. Thanks to appropriate treatment approach, pain can be eliminated and the relevant joint can regain its function.

There are two types of spinal fractures; traumatic spine fractures and osteoporotic spine fractures. In the treatment of these fractures, applications such as corset, plaster, fusion surgery, kyphoplasty and vertebroplasty can be applied.
